Home / PRESS & MEDIA / The start-up Virdys recreated the disappearance of an EgyptAir flight in 3D

Virdys, a start-up from Montpellier, created the EasySim3D software program, which recreate scenes in 3D quickly. Often used by television channels to illustrate events for which it does not have pictures (for example the attack on the premises of Charlie Hebdo), the software this week was used to reconstitute the disappearance of EgyptAir flight MS804 for Canal+ Group (iTélé, D8) tv channels.

Validated by Michel Chevalet

“It is one of the graphic designer who created the scene within two hours using the software, according to a dispatch from AFP, specifies the founder Thierry Cottenceau. We then proposed it to the Canal+ Group. Michel Chevalet, a scientific expert for iTélé, then validated its broadcast “.

The sequence, which can be seen in the video below, was played on a loop all this weekend, and should evolve according to the new elements of the story.
